Yoga and Creative Writing Retreat at Gaunts House, Bournemouth – With Christine Aziz
I also run yoga holidays for several different operators as well as independently from my base in Bourenmouth, UK.
Dalyan – Turkey
A tranquil hotel linked with the village by the Hotel’s river boat service. Accommodation is provided in 26 air conditioned rooms linked by the central tower. The entire region is designated as a conservation area. An area of outstanding natural beauty
A frequent boat service takes guests across the river to the hotel thus preserving its tranquillity.
Boats are readily available on the gently flowing Dalyan River and provide an opportunity to head downstream to Iztuzu turtle beach through the labyrinth of channels alongside the reed beds of the Dalyan Delta or upstream to the renowned Thermal Baths and Lake Köycegiz – or just to wander through Dalyan enjoying the cafe culture and the views across the river.
This entire region is designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty and is a paradise for ramblers with endless treks winding along the river banks, through the reed beds and up into the surrounding pine covered slopes.
The Hotel provides a complementary minibus and riverboat service for guests wishing to visit Dalyan Village. The 10 minute trip is scheduled at frequent intervals throughout the day.

My vision to run yoga retreats is to help people recognise that the innermost awareness and space inside each and every one of us is accessible. It just seems to have been lost in the external noise.
It is for this reason that my retreats are located in beautiful and natural locations, close to water.
I enjoy using poetry and song as we reflect on our beliefs and choices in life. I find this helps us to reintegrate what we are experiencing on the retreat. Taking it then off the yoga mat and home into our new expanded world.
“We come on Retreat in order to Advance”
The Creative Yoga Retreat
Welcome to The Creative Yoga Retreat with Jonathan Orchard
The whole venue will be ours to use with different zones we have allocated for different activities, this will also include the table where we eat together.
Jonathan has designed a “magical” and creative yoga “retreat” in order to explore more creativity and expression; including using the voice in many ways.
As we focus our awareness on conscious breath and the stillness within over the next seven days, we will blend different yoga-fusions together in order to expand our individual and the group awareness.
Yoga is about balance and centring and as we blend and shift our energy, we hopefully begin to bond as a group. With the power and discipline of yoga we can support each other to become even more authentic and sensitive to those qualities we probably all long to share.
Working in a fun and “light” way with ritual and the elements we can begin to uncover the deeper patterns that may keep us stuck.
We will use music, games, free movement, visualizations, meditations and the art of story-telling to evolve our own stories and transform them once and for all.
The manual you will receive on arrival is to help you record the changes you notice as the week progresses and your dreams. Also to support your home practice when you return.
We come on retreat in order to advance.
Bring a piece to present to the group it can either be a poem, a song or just some prose, but make sure that the piece holds meaning for you.
